1. Scope #
This Policy applies to futrixdata.com, the website account and subscription features, and the interactions between the FutrixData desktop app and the website for sign-in, authorization, licensing, and downloads.
It does not replace the privacy policies of the databases, AI providers, search engines, cloud platforms, or identity providers that you choose to connect to FutrixData.
FutrixData is currently operated as an individual developer project and is not yet incorporated as a company. In this Policy, references to FutrixData, "we", "us", or "our" mean the individual developer operating the service, who can be reached at wangqianqianjun@gmail.com.
2. Data We Collect Through the Website #
- Account profile data: when you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive and store your email address, display name, avatar URL, and OAuth provider identifiers.
- Session and security data: we store login sessions and related IP address and user-agent information to keep you signed in, protect the service, and troubleshoot problems.
- Download data: when you download the desktop installer, we log the timestamp, platform version, IP address, and user agent.
- License and device data: when the desktop app is linked to your account, we store license state, device ID, device name, platform, and last-active time.
- Billing and subscription data: if you purchase a paid plan, we store Stripe customer, subscription, and billing event data. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor rather than stored directly by FutrixData.
- Administrative audit data: actions in the admin console may be recorded in audit logs.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device by the Desktop App #
- Login state and tokens: the desktop app stores access tokens, refresh tokens, user profile data, and license information on your device so it can keep you signed in and manage devices.
- Device identifier: the app creates and stores a stable device identifier for license and device-list management.
- AI provider configuration: AI service settings you enter are stored locally and may include API keys, models, and base URLs.
- Query and usage records: the desktop app stores local query history, AI chat diagnostic logs, crash logs, and imported copies of system crash reports.
- Knowledge base files: original files, parsed text, summary state, and related metadata for files you upload to the user knowledge base are stored locally on your device by default.
4. When Data Is Sent to Third Parties #
- Identity sign-in: when you choose GitHub or Google sign-in, the identity provider returns profile information to FutrixData.
- Payment processing: payments and subscription management are handled through Stripe, and Stripe sends billing events back to FutrixData.
- Desktop authorization and licensing: the desktop app sends login session identifiers, device ID, device name, platform, refresh tokens, and similar account-authorization data to futrixdata.com so authorization and device management can work.
- AI services you configure: if you enable OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Ollama, or another compatible provider inside the desktop app, prompts, context, file-summary content, embedding requests, or approved sample data may be sent to the endpoint you configure.
- Web search you enable: if you use web-search features in the desktop app, your queries are sent to the selected search engine.
5. How We Use Data #
- Provide sign-in, account, license, device activation, download, and billing features.
- Protect the website and authorization flows, detect abuse or fraud, and investigate suspicious activity.
- Troubleshoot errors, respond to support issues, and improve product stability and operations.
- Complete the subscription, payment, desktop authorization, and account-management actions that you request.
6. Data We Do Not Collect by Default #
- We do not collect your database credentials through the website by default.
- We do not collect your database query results, full prompts, raw knowledge-base files, or AI chat contents through the website by default.
- We do not currently see a default third-party advertising tracker or marketing analytics SDK enabled in the code paths reviewed for the website and desktop app.
7. Retention #
Account, license, device, download, and subscription records are retained as needed for operations, security, support, billing, audit, and legal compliance.
Tokens, AI settings, logs, history, and knowledge-base files stored on your device are primarily under your control; you can remove them by signing out, deleting local app data, removing devices, or clearing logs and stored files.
8. Sharing and Disclosure #
We share data with identity, billing, download-hosting, and user-selected third-party providers only to the extent needed to operate the service you requested.
We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, dispute resolution, or security investigation.
The main third-party services currently involved are:
- Identity providers: GitHub and Google (OAuth sign-in).
- Payments: Stripe (checkout, subscriptions, and billing events).
- Hosting and database: Cloudflare (Workers, D1, and KV storage).
- Downloads: GitHub Releases.
- Third-party AI or search services: only the providers you explicitly configure in the desktop app.
9. Your Choices #
- You can choose not to create an account, but that limits licensing, device, and subscription features.
- You can choose not to configure third-party AI services; in that case, related prompts and file summaries will not be sent to those services.
- You can choose not to use web search, paid subscriptions, or cloud identity sign-in features.
10. International Transfers #
The FutrixData website backend currently uses Cloudflare D1 to host account, license, device, download, and subscription data in the United States. As a result, when you use futrixdata.com or the desktop sign-in, licensing, and subscription features that interact with futrixdata.com, relevant data may be transferred to and stored in the United States.
In addition, GitHub, Google, Stripe, and the third-party AI providers you choose may process related data in the United States or other countries or regions.
11. Updates and Contact #
If we materially change this Policy, we will update the version on the website and revise the last-updated date.
Questions about this Policy can be sent to wangqianqianjun@gmail.com.
